The Hurun Research Institute today released the "Hurun Top 100 Private Enterprises in China for Sustainable Development 2021". The threshold for the list was 23 billion yuan, and the total value of the companies on the list reached 56 trillion yuan, equivalent to nearly 60% of China's annual GDP, with an average value of 110 billion yuan. Yili topped the list, followed by Huawei, Country Garden, Haier Zhijia, Ping An Insurance and Fosun International. Tencent became China's most valuable private enterprise with 4.98 trillion yuan.

Pharmaceutical and healthcare enterprises represented by Wuxi Apptec and Mindray Bio-tech ranked the top 100, with 13. Next is the mass network service industry represented by Alibaba and Tencent, there are 10. Seven companies from the auto industry, represented by BYD and Great Wall, and real estate, represented by Country Garden and Shimao, each entered the top 100.Beijing has the largest number of companies, with 17. Shenzhen followed with 14. Shanghai ranked third with 11; Hangzhou and Foshan ranked fourth and fifth with six and four respectively. The top five cities make up half of the top 100. A total of 31 companies from the Yangtze River Delta region and 25 from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area were listed.

以药明康德、迈瑞生物为代表的医药保健行业企业进入百强最多，有13家；其次是以阿里巴巴、腾讯为代表的大众网络服务行业，有10家。以比亚迪、长城为代表的汽车行业，和以碧桂园、世茂为代表的房地产行业各有7家企业进入百强。总部北京的企业最多，有17家；其次是深圳，14家；上海第三，11家；杭州和佛山分别以6家和4家位列第四、第五。前五大城市占百强榜一半。长三角地区共31家企业上榜，粤港澳大湾区25家
