Microsoft, Nike, Starbucks and others Announced the Carbon Emission Reduction Alliance

Multinational companies including Microsoft, Nike, Starbucks, Unilever and Danone are forming a new alliance dedicated to sharing resources and strategies to reduce carbon emissions.

The alliance, called Transition to Net Zero, also includes Mercedes-Benz, Danish shipping giant Maersk, Indian IT giant Wipro and Brazilian cosmetics giant Natura, with new members to be recruited in the future.

The coalition will work with the nonprofit Environmental Defense Fund and will share information on reducing emissions, investing in carbon-reducing technologies and coordinating public policy goals.

近日,微软、耐克、星巴克、联合利华与达能集团等跨国公司正在组建一个新的联盟,致力于分享减少碳排放的资源和策略。

该联盟名为 “向净零过渡”,成员还包括梅赛德斯 - 奔驰、丹麦航运巨头马士基、印度IT巨头 Wipro 以及巴西化妆品巨头 Natura,未来还将招募新的成员。
