On December 20, Syngenta Group China joined ten companies, including Beidahuang, Budweiser, Mengniu, Novozymes, Nestle, Xinle, John Deere, Yara and Jifei Technologies, to set up the Business Alliance for Climate Change in Agriculture and Food, aiming at promoting carbon sequestration and emission reduction measures in agriculture and food through joint actions, reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the industrial chain, and improving the ability of agriculture and food industries to cope with and adapt to climate change.

Lu Xinming, deputy director of the Department of Climate Change of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, said in his speech that the real and effective response to climate change depends on implementation, not slogans. As the main force to deal with climate change, enterprises can take active measures to adjust the industrial structure, optimize the energy structure, promote energy conservation and efficiency, control greenhouse gas emissions, and promote the synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction, so as to contribute to the mitigation and adaptation of climate change.

Jiang Yekui, chief sustainable development officer of Syngenta Group China, said at the conference that Syngenta Group China has long been committed to promoting sustainable agricultural development with its partners, taking various measures to help growers cope with climate change and reduce their impact on climate change. This time, Syngenta Group China jointly established the Business Alliance for Climate Change in Agriculture and Food, hoping to work together to write a new chapter of sustainable development and enable green change in the industry.

Zhou Weidong, director of the China Office of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, said that the transformation of the agri-food industry is crucial to mitigating climate change, and we must carry out systematic reform and bold innovation in all aspects of the agri-food system. Syngenta Group China and other 10 units jointly initiated the establishment of this alliance, believing that the alliance will play an advanced platform and network role, leading the agricultural and food industry to accelerate the sustainable development and transformation of the entire value chain, and promoting the realization of the dual-carbon goal.

At the conference, members of the Alliance also launched a joint initiative to address climate change. According to the initiative, the member of the alliance will focus on the following three aspects:

1. On the premise of ensuring food security, implementing carbon sequestration and emission reduction measures in the field of agriculture and food, adopting efficient and low-carbon agricultural and food production technologies, promoting the practice of regenerative agriculture and the sustainable development of agriculture and food industry;

2. Strengthening the responsibility of low-carbon development of enterprises, promoting the green and sustainable transformation of the company's business, promoting the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the whole life cycle of agricultural products and food, and striving to provide green, environmentally friendly and climate-friendly products and services;

3. Advocating collaboration and cooperation, promoting the practice of green low-carbon factories, building a green supply chain, enabling the low-carbon transformation of traditional agriculture and food industry, and contributing to the response to climate change.

12月20日，先正达集团中国联合北大荒、百威、蒙牛、诺维信、雀巢、鑫乐、约翰迪尔、雅苒、极飞科技等十家公司共同发起成立农业与食品应对气候变化企业联盟，旨在通过联合行动，推广农业和食品领域固碳减排措施，降低产业链温室气体排放水平，提升农业与食品行业应对及适应气候变化能力。

生态环境部应对气候变化司陆新明副司长在致辞中提到，真正有效应对气候变化依靠的是落实，而不是口号。企业作为应对气候变化重要的主力军，可以采取积极措施，调整产业结构，优化能源结构，促进节能提效，控制温室气体排放，推动减污降碳协同增效，从而为减缓和适应气候变化贡献力量。

先正达集团中国首席可持续发展官姜业奎在发布会中表示，先正达集团中国长期以来始终致力于与合作伙伴共同推动农业可持续发展，采取多种措施帮助种植者应对气候变化，并减少自身对气候变化的影响。此次先正达集团中国联合各家企业成立农业与食品应对气候变化企业联盟，就是希望可以多方携手形成合力，共同谱写可持续发展新篇章，赋能行业绿色变革。

世界可持续发展工商理事会中国办公室周卫东主任表示，农食行业的转型对于减缓气候变化至关重要，我们必须在农食系统的各个环节进行系统的改革和大胆的创新。先正达集团中国等十家单位共同发起成立这一联盟，相信联盟将发挥先进的平台及网络作用，引领农食行业加速整个价值链的可持续发展转型，推进实现双碳目标。

在发布会上，联盟成员还针对应对气候变化发起了联合倡议。根据倡议，联盟成员企业将在以下三个方面开展重点工作：

1、在保障粮食安全的前提下，践行农食领域固碳减排措施，采取高效低碳的农业及食品生产技术，推广再生农业实践，推动农业与食品行业可持续发展；

2、强化企业低碳发展责任，推动公司业务的绿色可持续转型，推进农产品和食品全生命周期温室气体减排，致力于提供绿色、环保且气候友好的产品和服务；

3、倡导协同与合作，推动绿色低碳工厂实践，构建绿色供应链，赋能传统农业与食品行业低碳转型，为应对气候变化贡献力量。
