A total of 943 million passenger trips have enjoyed travel discounts, and the share rate of public transport trips has reached 64%.2.Solidifying the foundation of green travel with technology. At Wuhouci Station, AI intelligent agents have been applied to drive the innovation of metro operation, increasing operational efficiency by 33%.3.Conducting precise green energy conservation management and control. Chengdu Metro Operation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") was established on May 4, 2010. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chengdu Rail Transit Group Co., Ltd., it mainly undertakes tasks including network operation management, maintenance of equipment and facilities, and construction of key systems for new lines (covering rolling stock, signaling, AFC - Automatic Fare Collection, and process equipment in depots).
To meet the needs of large - scale networked operation and comprehensively improve the operational management and control capabilities as well as service standards, the Company has adopted the management model of "Headquarters + Professional Branches/Subsidiaries". Under this model, the Company has set up 15 functional departments, 5 production support centers (namely the Ground Protection and Supervision Center, Ticketing Data Center, Archives Management Center, Dispatching and Command Center, and Materials Management Center), 7 subordinate companies (including Operation Company No.1/2/3/4, Signal and Communication Maintenance Company, Civil Engineering and Electrical Maintenance Company, and Tram Company), and 1 managed unit (Chengzi Company).

1. It has taken the lead in China to quantitatively propose a green transportation travel structure model for central urban areas, launched the "Green Network Weaving Initiative", and promoted the construction of supporting transportation connection facilities around stations. It has designated the 5th day of each month as the "Green and Low-Carbon Travel Day", launched green and low-carbon travel preferential activities such as the "Carbon Benefit Transportation" mini-program, and guided and encouraged citizens and passengers to choose public transportation as a green travel method. In 2024, it carried out 665 joint construction activities focusing on civilized travel and green travel in communities, schools and other places, implemented 53 green travel brand service projects, provided travel discounts (including student cards, elderly cards, and discounts during heavy pollution periods) to 943 million passenger trips, and the proportion of rail transit in public transportation travel reached 64%.

3. It has realized hierarchical management and control of energy conservation, conducted energy-saving diagnosis on ventilation and air conditioning equipment which accounts for about 50% of the station's electricity consumption, and formulated phased measures of "daily", "energy-saving" and "intensive energy-saving" at the network level for 12 categories and 37 types of main electrical equipment, thus formulating the Energy Conservation Plan for Each Station. In 2024, the total electricity consumption of the network was about 10.1 million kilowatt-hours less than that in 2023, saving a cost of about 6 million yuan, with an energy saving equivalent to 1,241 tons of standard coal and a carbon reduction of 6,267 tons of carbon dioxide. It has won the "Merit Award" in the staff group of the national final of the 18th "Revitalization Cup" National Youth Vocational Skills Competition and the "Gold Award" in the management innovation category of the Sichuan Provincial Youth Vocational Skills Competition. Meanwhile, at Dayuan Metro Station of Chengdu Metro, it has innovatively carried out research on the dynamic thermal comfort standard for human bodies adapted to Chengdu's environment. The passenger satisfaction rate with thermal comfort in the station hall and platform has met the Level II standard of GB/T 50785 Evaluation Standard for Indoor Thermal and Humid Environment of Civil Buildings, achieving a win-win demonstration of a 31% energy-saving rate and the national Level II comfort standard.

The implementation of this project follows a systematic path of "Top-Level Design - Pilot Verification - Network-Wide Promotion", advanced in a structured manner as follows:
1.System Construction and Standard Development Phase
First, focusing on the core challenges of energy consumption management in Chengdu Metro’s ultra-large network and the core requirements for green development, a cross-departmental (inter-unit) special team was established. The team conducted full-chain energy consumption audits and data analysis on 12 categories and 37 types of key electrical equipment, formulated the Energy Conservation Plan for Each Station, and developed differentiated and operable phased measures. These efforts provide an institutional basis for refined energy conservation management at the network level. Meanwhile, to address the current issue of inappropriate temperature in metro stations, in accordance with the group’s internal deployment for smart station construction, research on the "Dynamic Human Thermal Comfort Standard Adapted to Chengdu’s Environment" and research on AI-enabled smart stations were launched.

2.Sample Selection and Technical Breakthrough Phase
Dayuan Station and Wuhouci Station were selected as pilots to build benchmark samples of green low-carbon stations and smart stations respectively.
Dayuan Station (Green Low-Carbon Model): Guided by the goal of meeting citizens’ comfortable temperature range, precise adjustments were made to the station’s ventilation and air conditioning system. The key strategies include: reducing the operating frequency of fans in the main ventilation system, implementing the energy-saving mode for main system ventilation, adjusting the "micro-positive pressure" of supply and exhaust air volume in the main system, optimizing the outlet temperature of chilled water, and defining the activation conditions for the cooling source system.
Wuhouci Station (AI Smart Benchmark): Driven by scenario-specific needs, and based on 30 smart application requirements of the metro (including automatic station opening/closing, intelligent construction supervision, services for passengers with special needs, detection of abnormal passenger behaviors, and digital emergency plans), the station accurately identified business pain points and restructured traditional business processes. With the digital and intelligent base as the core support platform for the project, technologies such as cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and artificial intelligence were integrated to provide strong data support and intelligent analysis capabilities for station operations.
二、样本选择与技术攻坚阶段:选取大源站和武侯祠站作为试点,打造绿色低碳与智慧车站样本标杆。
大源站(绿色低碳样板):以市民舒适温度区间为思路,对车站通风空调进行精调,主要策略是降低大系统风机运行频率、执行大系统通风节能模式、调整大系统送排风量“微正压”、调整冷冻水出水温度、限定冷源系统开启条件等。
武侯祠站(AI智慧标杆):以场景化需求为导向,结合地铁包含自动开关站、智能施工监管、特殊乘客服务、乘客异常行为感知及数字应急预案等30项智慧应用需求,精准识别业务痛点,重构传统业务流程。以数智底座作为项目核心支撑平台,融合云计算、物联网、大数据和人工智能等技术,为车站运营提供强大的数据支撑与智能分析能力。
3、Ecological Integration and Network-Wide Promotion Phase
In line with the actual situation of Chengdu Rail Transit, the "Rail + Public Transport + Active Transport" green travel system was proposed as a strategic initiative. While continuing to tap potential in energy conservation and emission reduction, and advancing technological innovation for quality and efficiency improvement, the "Green Network Weaving Initiative" was simultaneously carried out to actively cultivate a green travel culture. Efforts were made to convert technological advantages into citizens’ travel habits, and the hierarchical management and control measures were promoted across the entire metro network.
