Vanke has always adhered to the concept of sustainable development and actively practiced corporate social responsibility. Driven by the "double carbon" goal, Vanke is also constantly exploring a new path to achieve green, sustainable and high-quality development. As the founder and honorary chairman of the board of Vanke, Wang Shi has been committed to the exploration of carbon-neutral communities and efforts to promote green and environmentally friendly development models on a wider scale.

On December 2, Wang Shi was invited to attend the International Financial Forum (IFF) 2022 Global Annual Meeting, and shared Vanke's long-term green low-carbon and development experience and practice in the real estate industry in the closed-door CEO discussion of the annual meeting of the Green Finance Working Group (GFWG).

Wang Shi said at the conference that Vanke, as a traditional enterprise in real estate development, has always been at the forefront of the industry in green development. In 2005, Vanke began to advocate and practice green buildings, in 2014, it began to fully practice green standards, and in 2016, it promoted green supply chain and advocated "no green, no purchase". Vanke's green action has been leading the development of the industry.

The meeting released the first white paper of the Green Finance Working Group, "Proposals for Accelerating the Global Transition to a Low-carbon Economy". The White paper draws lessons from replicable, scalable innovations and initiatives by global companies and offers practical recommendations on how to accelerate the global climate transition.

Dameisha Vanke Center Biosphere 3 carbon neutral community case, and Vanke's green principle practice, as the only real estate industry low-carbon transformation case, has been included in this white paper.

The case of Vanke carbon neutral community in the white paper

After China announced the strategy of "carbon peaking" and "carbon neutrality" in 2020, Vanke implemented its corporate social responsibility into specific actions.
