Jinko Solar Attended the "Belt and Road" Entrepreneurs Conference to Set a New Benchmark for Green Development along the Belt and Road

On April 25, as a representative private enterprise with outstanding achievements in the construction along the Belt and Road, Jinko Solar Vice President Qian Jing was invited to attend the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation Entrepreneurs Conference. Nearly 900 business people from 88 countries and regions attended the conference.

Since the "Belt and Road" Initiative was put forward nearly six years ago, China and countries along the "Belt and Road" have achieved many achievements. Among them, the new energy industry represented by photovoltaic is becoming an important growth pole in the construction of the "Belt and Road". Take Jinko Solar as an example. Driven by the "global economic integration", Jinko Solar has achieved a strategic "triple jump" from global sales to global manufacturing and then global investment. In terms of sales, Jinko Solar's high-quality photovoltaic products have been sold to more than 40 countries along the Belt and Road. Jinko Solar has ranked first in market share in most countries or regions.

In terms of overseas manufacturing, Jinko Solar is "one step ahead". As early as 2015, Jinko Malaysia production base "took root and landed" in Bincheng. So far, the production base's annual capacity of photovoltaic cells and modules has reached 3GW and 2.5W, respectively, with an annual output value of $60 million. At the same time, the completion of the base has created a large number of employment opportunities for Malaysia, the total number of employees has reached 5,900, 80% of which are locally recruited. So far, Jinko's production base in Malaysia has become the factory with the largest investment and output value for Chinese PV enterprises along the Belt and Road Initiative.

"We believe that the Belt and Road Initiative should not just be about exporting products and manufacturing. We also need to bring advanced technologies and research and development ideas to the Belt and Road Initiative. To this end, Jinko Solar has invested more than US $2 million to set up a photovoltaic R&D center in Malaysia. "The center will focus on photovoltaic component development, trial and test work, and more." "Said Qian Jing, vice president of Jinko Solar. It is worth noting that this is also the only Chinese PV company in the industry to set up an overseas R&D center since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed.

In terms of overseas investment, Jinko won the bid for the world's largest single photovoltaic power plant project of 1,177 MW in ABU Dhabi with the lowest electricity price in the world, which also attracted global attention. "The plant has created the world's lowest electricity price of 2.42 cents per degree, which is very economical," Qian said. In addition, we have about 6,000 MW of power station projects in reserve in more than 10 countries in the Middle East, Central Asia, North Africa and Southeast Asia. These investment projects have not only brought considerable tax revenue, industrial linkage and job creation to the local area, but also promoted the green and sustainable development of the local economy."

In the future, in the context of economic globalization, the Belt and Road Initiative will be further deepened, solid and sustainable. "In order to deepen the achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative, we hope to build more ties with local banks and financial institutions in various countries," Qian said. At the same time, private enterprises should "go global", financing and insurance should "go global" first. Therefore, we hope Chinese banks and financial institutions can be more open and innovative to provide more competitive financing services for Chinese companies to 'go global'."
