On June 5, World Environment Day, SF Express Holdings released the industry's first "Carbon Target White Paper 2021", which proposed to improve its carbon efficiency by 55% and reduce the carbon footprint of each express package by 70% in 2030 on the basis of 2021, so as to create climate-friendly express delivery.

Under the goal of carbon peaking in 2030 and carbon neutrality in 2060, all walks of life are accelerating the transformation of green production and lifestyle. As a leader in the responsible logistics industry, SF Express is also accelerating the use of the power of scientific and technological innovation to accelerate carbon neutrality. According to the "Carbon Target White Paper 2021" released by SF Express, between 2021 and 2030, the company intends to achieve the carbon reduction target by adjusting the energy use structure, upgrading transportation and business model, in-depth application of scientific and technological means, and other ways such as forestry carbon sink and carbon trading.

Among them, SF Express intends to achieve the carbon reduction target of 68% through energy structural adjustment. In the future, SF Express will adopt renewable energy solutions, invest in photovoltaic in the appropriate industrial park, and gradually increase the application of new energy logistics vehicles, change the type of energy use, and reduce the carbon emissions of business operations. Sf Express will build a carbon emission management platform, use artificial intelligence, big data, Internet of things and other leading technologies to achieve low-carbon and smart operations, and reduce carbon emissions by 12% through the application of carbon reduction technology. At the same time, the company improves operational efficiency and reduces carbon emission by promoting multimodal transportation, improving routes using cargo aviation hubs, Green and low-carbon packaging, intelligent enterprise management, and All Green supply chain solutions, and achieves the carbon emission reduction target of 11% through transportation and business model upgrading. In view of other unavoidable share emissions, SF Express plans to use planting "SF carbon neutral forest", purchase carbon offset credits and other ways to achieve offset.

It is worth noting that in this release of the white paper, SF Express specifically mentioned the construction of Ezhou Huahu airport project in the carbon reduction measures. Huahu Airport has included the concept of carbon reduction from the beginning of the project design.

Sf Express has built a smart energy management and control platform in Ezhou Huahu Airport. After the airport being put into operation, the smart energy management and control platform can realize the whole process of energy management and control from the source to the end, and realize the energy coordination and optimization of different energy forms (photovoltaic, charging pile, energy station, purchased electricity, etc.) by using the algorithm model, which can improve the comprehensive energy efficiency of the airport by 10%, which is the first in the industry.

Sf Express forecasts that the airport can provide 3,531 KWH of electricity per year through photovoltaic power generation facilities, reducing carbon emissions by 9,605 tons; The installed load of ground source heat pump is 12,362kW, which can reduce carbon emissions by 1,063 tons per year. In addition, the ground power supply can replace the power assist device in the tail of the aircraft, and the overall ground transportation of the airport is as high as 80.35% of the electric proportion. After operation, the renewable energy rate of Ezhou Airport can reach 25.6%, and the annual carbon emission reduction exceeds 26,200 tons.

其中,顺丰拟通过用能结构调整实现68%的减碳目标,未来顺丰将采取可再生能源解决方案,在合适的产业园投建光伏,并逐步加大新能源物流车应用,转变能源使用类型,降低业务运营碳排放。顺丰将构建碳排放管理平台,运用人工智能、大数据、物联网等领先科技实现低碳智慧化运营,通过减碳科技的应用降低12%的碳排放。同时,公司通过推进多式联运、利用货运航空枢纽改善航线、绿色低碳包装、智慧化企业管理、All Green绿色供应链解决方案等提升运营效率和减少碳排,通过运输及业务模式升级实现降低11%的碳排放目标。针对其他无法避免的摊排放,顺丰拟采用种植“顺丰碳中和林”、购买碳补偿额度等方式实现抵消。

值得注意的是,在本次发布的白皮书中,顺丰特别提及了参与建设的鄂州花湖机场项目中的减碳举措。花湖机场从项目设计伊始就已经涵盖了碳减排的理念。

顺丰在鄂州花湖机场搭建了智慧能源管控平台,在机场投入运营后,智慧能源管控平台可以实现能源从源端到末端的全程管控,利用算法模型实现不同能源形式(光伏、充电桩、能源站、外购电力等)的能源协调和优化,可将机场综合能耗效率提高10%,属行业内首例。

顺丰预测,机场中通过光伏发电设施每年可提供电能3,531千瓦时,减少碳排放9,605吨;地源热泵装机负荷12,362千瓦,每年可减少碳排放1,063吨,加之地面电源替代飞机尾部动力辅助装置,机场整体地面高达80.35%的交通电动化比例,运营后鄂州机场可再生能源率可达25.6%,每年碳减排超过26200吨。
