July 14 news— OPPO Guangdong Mobile Communication Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "OPPO") Marina Bay Data Center Building A has been awarded the "Carbon Neutral Data Center Innovator" rating and the "Data Center Low Carbon Rating Assessment Certificate" at the 2021 (20th) China Internet Conference Green and Low-carbon New Data Center Forum.

IT House learned that the "low carbon Rating Assessment for Data centers" was jointly carried out by the Open Data Center Committee (ODCC), the Press and Publicity Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology. The Cloud Research Institute under ICT Institute is responsible for the organization and evaluation of data center energy and carbon utilization efficiency, low-carbon energy saving technologies and schemes, and low-carbon strategy and management.

OPPO Marina Bay Data Center is located in Dongguan Marina Bay New Area, covering an area of 62,600 square meters (93.95 mu), with a total construction area of 102,200 square meters. The construction content mainly includes 4 data center buildings and 1 comprehensive office building, with a total investment of 1.476 billion yuan. A total of 6,736 8KW cabinets and 120,000 servers have been built in a single campus, which is a super large data center in China.

As OPPO's first self-built ultra-large data center, OPPO Bay Data Center uses efficient UPS, medium temperature cold water system, maglev cooling machine, board change, rainwater recycling to cooling tower, external wall insulation and moisture isolation to reduce PUE and WUE. At the same time, we will promote innovation in the linkage between infrastructure and services, and actively develop and deploy new technologies such as liquid-cooled servers, optical storage, and GPU clusters to reduce energy consumption at the source. At present, OPPO Marina Bay Data Center has received the industry authoritative Uptime TIER III certification.

Upon completion of the project, OPPO Marina Bay Data Center will become OPPO's global computing center, storing and processing the company's core business data, and providing strong capability support for the company's development of cutting-edge businesses such as big data, 5G and IoT. At the cloud and terminal level, OPPO Marina Bay Data Center supports the construction of cloud service technology engine that integrates everything, and at the same time provides safe and efficient computing power, data and algorithm services for intelligent terminal ecosystem, which will escort OPPO to further accelerate its transformation into a global technology company.

As of the end of the second quarter of 2021, OPPO's ColorOS had more than 440 million active users worldwide in more than 40 countries and regions. OPPO Marina Bay Data Center will help to provide comprehensive protection for user data security, while further enhancing the stability of Internet services. For the vast number of developers, OPPO Marina Bay Data Center will also bring more convenient development environment and related services to provide better computing equipment support for developers.

The OPPO Marina Bay Data Center is expected to be officially opened by the end of the year.

IT之家了解到，“数据中心低碳等级评估”由开放数据中心委员会（ODCC）、工信部新闻宣传中心、中国信息通信研究院联合开展。信通院所属云大所负责组织和评审工作，从数据中心能源和碳利用效率、低碳节能技术与方案、低碳战略与管理等三个维度进行评估。

OPPO 滨海湾数据中心位于东莞滨海湾新区，占地面积 6.26 万平方米（93.95 亩），总建筑面积 10.22 万平方米，建设内容主要包括 4 栋数据中心大楼和 1 栋综合办公楼，总投资 14.76 亿元，共建设 6736 个 8KW 机柜，单园区 12 万台服务器，属于国内超大型数据中心。

作为 OPPO 首个自建超大型数据中心，OPPO 滨海湾数据中心采用高效 UPS、中温冷水系统、磁悬浮冷机、板换、雨水回收至冷却塔、外墙保温隔湿等措施，减低 PUE 和 WUE。同时推动基础设施和业务联动创新，积极研发与部署液冷服务器、光存储、GPU 集群等新技术，从源头降低能耗。目前，OPPO 滨海湾数据中心已获得业界权威的 Uptime TIER III 等级认证。

项目竣工后，OPPO 滨海湾数据中心将成为 OPPO 全球算力中心，存储和处理公司的核心业务数据，并为公司发展大数据、5G、IoT 等前沿业务提供强大的能力支撑。在云端和终端层面，OPPO 滨海湾数据中心支持构建万物互融的云端服务技术引擎，同时能为智能终端生态提供安全高效的算力、数据、算法服务，为 OPPO 进一步向全球化科技公司加速转型保驾护航。

截至 2021 年二季度末，OPPO 旗下 ColorOS 全球活跃用户超过 4.4 亿，分布在 40 多个国家和地区。OPPO 滨海湾数据中心将有助于为用户数据安全提供全方位保障，同时进一步提升互联网服务的稳定性。面向广大开发者群体，OPPO 滨海湾数据中心也将带来更加便利的开发环境和相关服务，为开发者提供更好的算力设备支持。
