From November 6 to 18, the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) was held in the Egyptian coastal city of Sharm el-Sheikh. During the meeting, Li Wenxue, Party Secretary and vice president of LONGi Green Energy, released the White Paper of 2022 LONGi Climate Action (referred to as "White Paper") to the world, which is also the second white paper LONGi has released since participating in the United Nations Climate Conference last year.

"Climate change is a common challenge facing all mankind and bears on the sustainable development of mankind." According to Li Wenxue, global climate change has changed from a future challenge to an immediate crisis. In the face of the crisis brought about by climate change, replacing conventional energy with renewable energy is a key step in the green and low-carbon transition.

Li Wenxue pointed out that as the world's leading green energy technology company, LONGi firmly believes that the scientific and technological innovation of green energy can help human beings achieve carbon neutrality at a lower and lower cost. The report shows that in the past year, LONGi has steadily promoted climate action, established a greenhouse gas emission accounting system covering the whole value chain of the company (scope 1, 2 and 3), accelerated the construction of sustainable development and ESG management system, actively implemented the RE100, and used 3.096 billion kWh of green electricity in 2021. The proportion exceeded 40.19%, equivalent to avoiding 1.68 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, among which more than 160,000 tons of emissions were reduced through energy saving.

While meeting the rapidly increasing global demand for photovoltaic production capacity, LONGi's carbon emission intensity has further decreased, with greenhouse gas emissions per unit revenue in 2021 reduced by 20.8% compared with 2020, laying the foundation for the gradual decoupling of production capacity growth and carbon emissions. It is reported that the report received technical support from the Carbon Trust, a global low-carbon advisory body, and demonstrated LONGi Green Energy's firm commitment and practical actions in tackling global climate change as a leading enterprise in the photovoltaic industry.

Representatives from the United Nations Compact Organization, the Energy Transition Commission, the China New Energy Chamber of Commerce, the World Business Council and other organizations attended the launch of the LONGi Climate White Paper 2022. In addition, LONGi, together with Vanke Public Welfare Foundation and China State-owned Industry Climate Action (CCCA), opened a corporate theme exhibition hall in the Green Zone of COP27 conference and exhibited the newly released Hi-MO 6 photovoltaic module products.

报告显示，在过去的一年，隆基稳步推进气候行动，建立了覆盖公司全价值链（范围1、2和范围3）的温室气体排放核算体系，加快构建可持续发展与ESG管理体系，积极贯彻落实RE100，2021年使用了30.96亿kWh的绿色电力，比例超过了40.19%，相当于避免了168万吨二氧化碳排放，其中通过节能降耗带来的减排量超过了16万吨。

在满足全球快速增加的光伏产能需求的同时，隆基的碳排放强度进一步下降，2021年单位营收的温室气体排放量较2020年降低了20.8%，为实现产能增长与碳排放逐步脱钩奠定基础。据悉，该报告获得了全球低碳咨询机构碳信托的技术支持，展示了隆基绿能作为光伏行业领先企业，在应对全球气候变化时的坚定承诺与务实行动。
