On September 21, a hydrogen production plant built by Huasheng Chemical, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meijin Energy, was put into use in Qingxu County, Shanxi Province. Meijin Energy provided 100 hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks for demonstration operation, making the plant the largest hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck demonstration site in China.

The hydrogen production plant makes use of the hydrogen-rich characteristics of coke oven gas, a byproduct of coke oven gas, to purify 99.9% of the product hydrogen from Huasheng Chemical's annual output of 300,000 tons of ethylene glycol project to industrial high purity hydrogen through pressure swing adsorption equipment. The hydrogen production scale is 2000 cubic meters per hour, the cost is 12 yuan per kilogram, and the price of hydrogen per kilogram in supporting hydrogenation stations is not more than 20 yuan.

At the same time, Meijin Energy also plans to promote tens of thousands of heavy trucks in the demonstration plant in five years. According to the calculation that a hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck can drive 100,000 kilometers a year, a total of 120 tons of carbon reduction can be achieved.

Meijin Energy is making full use of its own advantages in hydrogen source to build a closed loop of the whole industrial chain in Shanxi: from the construction of industrial high-purity hydrogen project to provide hydrogen production source, to the network of hydrogenation stations, to the research and development and application of fuel cell heavy trucks, to the service of traditional coal coking plate, forming a set of perfect application system.

The completion of the largest hydrogen heavy truck demonstration plant in China is another major progress in the hydrogen energy strategy of Meijin Energy Shanxi, and will also better help the transformation of Shanxi's hydrogen energy industry.

9月21日，位于山西清徐县的美锦能源全资子公司—华盛化工配套建设的制氢工厂投入使用，美锦能源为其配套了100辆示范运营氢燃料电池重卡，该工厂成为目前全国最大氢能重卡示范场地。

制氢工厂利用焦化副产焦炉煤气焦炉气富氢的特点，将来自华盛化工年产30万吨乙二醇项目的99.9%的产品氢通过变压吸附设备提纯至工业高纯氢，制氢规模为每小时2000立方米，成本每公斤12元，配套的加氢站每公斤氢气售价不超过20元。  

同时，美锦能源还计划5年在该示范工厂累计推广上万辆重卡车，据一辆氢燃料电池重卡按一年行驶10万公里测算，共可实现碳减排120吨。
