Baofeng Solar Electrolysis Water Hydrogen Production Demonstration Project Officially Put into Operation
宝丰太阳能电解水制氢综合示范项目正式投产

On April 20, Baofeng Energy Group announced at the climate change "Carbon Neutral 3060" forum in Beijing that its solar electrolysis water hydrogen production comprehensive demonstration project was officially put into operation, breaking through the industrial bottleneck of green hydrogen which is difficult to large-scale industrialization. Baofeng has thus become the first industrial enterprise in China to truly achieve "carbon neutrality" by replacing fossil energy with new energy.

The project includes 200,000kw photovoltaic power generation device and 20,000 standard cubic meters/hour electrolytic water hydrogen production device, which is known to be the world's largest single plant, single capacity of the largest water hydrogen production project. The project adopts a new mode of "new energy power generation + electrolytic water to produce green hydrogen for coal chemical industry". The cost of hydrogen per cubic meter can be controlled at 0.7 yuan, which is close to the current cost of hydrogen production from fossil energy of 0.6 yuan, and the comprehensive cost can be controlled at 1.34 yuan. After completion, the project will produce 160 million standard cubic meters of hydrogen and 0.8 million standard cubic meters of oxygen by production.

Wang Jirong, head of the hydrogen energy project at Baofeng Energy Group Co., LTD., said the project has introduced a single set of electrolytic cells with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters per hour, as well as a gasification separator and hydrogen purification system, reaching the advanced level in China. When fully operational, the project will reduce annual coal consumption by 254,000 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by about 445,000 tons. The company will also actively cooperate with scientific research institutions to conduct in-depth research on the application of solar energy and wind energy as well as the manufacturing, storage and transportation of hydrogen energy and market application in multiple fields and scenarios. Next, Baofeng Energy plans to achieve 50% carbon reduction in 10 years and achieve "carbon neutrality" in 20 years.

4月20日,宝丰能源集团在北京举行的应对气候变化“碳中和3060”论坛上宣布,其太阳能电解水制氢综合示范项目正式投产,突破了绿氢难以大规模工业化的产业瓶颈。宝丰由此成为中国首个用新能源替代化石能源真正实现“碳中和”路径的工业企业。

该项目包括20万千瓦光伏发电装置和2万标准立方米/小时的电解水制氢装置,为已知全球单厂规模最大、单台产能最大的电解水制氢项目。项目采用“新能源发电+电解水制取绿氢直供煤化工”的新模式。每立方米氢气的成本可控制在0.7元,与目前化石能源制氢0.6元的成本接近,综合成本可以控制在1.34元。项目建成后将年产氢气1.6亿标准立方米,副产氧气0.8亿标准立方米。

宝丰能源集团股份有限公司氢能项目负责人王箕荣表示,该项目引进了单套产能1000标方/小时的电解槽以及气化分离器、氢气纯化等装置系统,达到国内先进水平。项目全部投产后,将每年可减少煤炭资源消耗25.4万吨,减少二氧化碳排放约44.5万吨。公司还将积极与科研单位开展合作,深入研究太阳能、风能的应用和氢能的制造、储运及多领域多场景市场化应用。下一步,宝丰能源计划用10年完成50%碳减排,20年实现企业“碳中和”。
