The second ESG Global Leadership Summit will be held from June 28 to 30, 2022. Guided by the Department of Climate Change, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Summit is co-organized by Sina Finance and CITIC Publishing Group with the theme of "Jointly Promoting Global ESG Development, Building a Sustainable Future".

Mr. Zhigang Cao, Director and President of Goldwind Technology, delivered a keynote speech at the session "The Significance of technological Innovation for Zero-carbon Transition".

Cao Zhigang mentioned in his speech that at present, global climate change, epidemic prevention and control, energy conservation and environmental protection have been paid more and more attention by the whole society. The goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" has been put forward, which makes ESG attract more and more attention. The concept of ESG has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people and has become the trend of the new era and the business norm. The rise and development of ESG, which focuses on the environmental, social and governance performance of enterprises, has provided a continuous driving force for enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities. Cao Zhigang introduced that at Goldwind, fulfilling social responsibility has always been our long-held creed. At the beginning of its establishment, the company established the mission of "dedicating clear water and blue sky to human beings, leaving more resources for the future". We regard wind power products and services as our greatest social responsibility. We will continue to provide high-quality, low-carbon and efficient wind turbines to produce green electricity, meet people's demand for economic and reliable green energy, support the realization of the dual-carbon goal and address global climate change. By the end of 2021, the cumulative installed capacity of global wind power of Goldwind has exceeded 86GW, with an annual generating capacity of 193.2 billion KWH. Compared with thermal power, it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 161 million tons per year.

Cao Zhigang said that in order to standardize and efficiently carry out corporate social responsibility work, Goldwind has established a sustainable development organization and developed a sustainable development strategy plan, which mainly focuses on five areas: integrity and compliance operation, green and environmental protection operation, sustainable wind power industry chain, fair and healthy working environment, and harmonious community relations, and has defined the future direction of action. Targets such as achieving operational carbon neutrality by 2022 have been proposed.

Cao said that China's economic development has entered a stage of high-quality development, and many issues, such as carbon neutrality, energy conservation, environmental protection, science and technology, and common prosperity, are closely related to corporate social responsibility. Only when the concept of social responsibility is closely integrated with the sustainable development of the country and society can more practical activities conducive to the common development of the economy, society and the environment be generated. Only in this way can the green and healthy development of the economy and society be promoted and people's life be better.

第二届ESG全球领导者峰会于2022年6月28至30日举行，本次峰会由生态环境部应对气候变化司指导，新浪财经和中信出版集团联合举办，峰会主题为“共促全球ESG发展，构建可持续未来”。

金风科技董事兼总裁曹志刚在“科技创新对零碳转型的意义”环节发表主题演讲。

曹志刚在演讲中提到，目前，全球气候变化、疫情防控、节能环保越来越受到全社会重视， “碳达峰、碳中和”目标的提出，使得ESG受关注的程度持续攀升；ESG理念已深入人心，成为新时代潮流和商业规范。ESG全面关注企业的环境、社会和治理绩效，它的兴起和发展，为企业履行社会责任提供了持续的推动力。曹志刚介绍，在金风科技，履行社会责任一直是我们长期坚守的信条。公司在成立之初，就确立了“为人类奉献碧水蓝天，给未来留下更多资源”的使命。我们将做好风电产品和服务视为最大的社会责任，持续提供高质量、低碳高效的风力发电机组，生产绿色电力，满足人们对经济可靠绿色能源的需求，支持双碳目标的实现、应对全球气候变化。截至2021年底，金风科技全球风电累计装机容量超过86GW，年发电量约1932亿度，相对于火电，每年可减少二氧化碳排放1.61亿吨。

曹志刚称，为规范高效开展企业社会责任工作，金风科技建立了可持续发展组织机构，制定了可持续发展战略规划，主要聚焦诚信合规经营、绿色环保运营、可持续风电产业链、公平健康工作环境、和谐社区关系5大领域，明确了未来的行动方向，提出了2022年实现运营层面碳中和等目标。

曹志刚表示，目前，我国经济发展已进入高质量发展阶段，碳中和、节能环保、科技兴国、共同富裕等众多议题，都与企业履行社会责任息息相关。只有将社会责任理念与国家和社会的可持续发展紧密融合，才能催生出更多有利于经济、社会和环境共同发展的实践活动，也才能在促进经济社会绿色健康发展的同时，让人们的生活更美好。
