On December 1, based on years of exploration and practice of the concept of "sustainable development", Geely Holding Group becomes the first Chinese auto company to join the "Drive Sustainability" project as a global partner after being unanimously approved by the steering committee. This is an important move by Geely to help build a transparent and responsible global supply chain and enhance sustainable supply chain management.

Stefan Crets, executive director of CSR Europe, a collaborator of the Drive Sustainability project, said that as a leading global automotive company, Geely Holding Group's participation will help the project achieve larger scale development and is of great significance for promoting global automakers' participation in the sustainable vehicle value chain cooperation.

Following the ESG concept, Geely establishes a safe and sustainable value chain system

As the only Chinese auto group among the top 10 global auto brand portfolio by value, Geely Holding Group has joined the "Drive Sustainability" project, and will discuss cutting-edge issues of global supply chain together with the world's leading auto companies, making a Chinese voice for the formulation of industry standards and principles of sustainable value chain management in the global auto industry. Meanwhile, through the application of advanced supply chain sustainable management guidelines and tools, activities such as supplier sustainable self-assessment, supplier training and stakeholder dialogue are carried out to further improve the value chain sustainability level of Geely Holding's brands.

Geely Holding Group has carried out a full-stage audit of supplier access, project development and project mass production on the topics of responsible procurement and improving the transparency of the supply chain of key raw materials, thus driving the coordinated development of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain. In the future, Geely will also work with its global supplier partners to promote the construction of a "supply chain community of destiny", take on more industry responsibilities and social missions, make a safe, healthy and sustainable supply chain system the moat of Geely's high-quality development, and jointly create a sustainable future with all stakeholders.

Working with global partners to contribute to the sustainability of the global automotive supply chain

The "Driving Sustainability" global project is a joint initiative of BMW, Daimler, Ford, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Scania, Toyota, Volkswagen, Stellantis, Volvo Cars and Volvo Group. At present, Mercedes-Benz and other companies have become global partners of the project, jointly contributing to the sustainable development of the global automotive supply chain.

Project participants are committed to building a global sustainable supply chain, working with leading global automotive manufacturers, suppliers, stakeholders and authorities on a range of issues including sustainable raw materials, employee welfare, carbon neutrality and circular value chains. By 2022, more than 40,000 suppliers from more than 100 countries have participated in the Sustainability self-assessment activities of the Drive Sustainability program, which continues to promote the development of a global automotive sustainable supply chain network through supplier capacity building and empowerment.

“驱动可持续”全球项目由宝马、戴姆勒、福特、本田、捷豹路虎、斯堪尼亚、丰田、大众、Stellantis、沃尔沃汽车、沃尔沃集团联合发起。目前，梅赛德斯奔驰等企业也已成为该项目全球合作伙伴，共同助力全球汽车供应链的可持续发展。

项目参与方致力于打造全球可持续发展供应链，针对可持续原材料、员工福利、碳中和及循环价值链等多个议题，与全球领先汽车制造企业、供应商、利益相关方及有关部门共同开展有影响力的活动。截至2022年，已有来自全球100多个国家的40000多家供应商参与了“驱动可持续”项目的可持续性自我评估活动，通过对供应商能力建设和赋能，持续推动全球汽车可持续供应链网络的发展。
