On December 1, the case of cooperation between BGI and Saudi Arabia was selected as the first "Social Responsibility Report of Chinese Companies in the Kindom of Saudi Arabia" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report"), which is the first social responsibility report issued collectively by Chinese-funded enterprises in Saudi Arabia.

More than 150 people attended the conference, including representatives of the Saudi government, Chinese and Saudi enterprises and financial institutions, experts in the field of sustainable development and Chinese and Saudi media such as CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, Saudi News Agency and Arab News. With the theme of "Building Value Sharing Together", the report shows the key projects and typical cases of Chinese-funded enterprises in Saudi Arabia fulfilling their economic, environmental and social responsibilities in recent years.

Chen Weiqing, Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, said in his speech that Chinese-funded enterprises in Saudi Arabia actively assume social responsibility, make positive contributions to local economic and social development, contribute to the construction of "The Belt and Road Initiative" and inject momentum into Sino-Saudi economic and trade cooperation, which is a special business card of China's national image. The reputation and reputation of Chinese enterprises and products in Saudi Arabia are constantly improving.

In July, BGI Saudi Source Health Care Services Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huada Gene Saudi Arabia, and Tibbiyah Holding, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi Faisaliah Group, held a joint venture signing ceremony to announce the establishment of a joint venture named Genalive Medical Co. (Formerly known as Saudi Advanced Medical Lab Limited) to help the development of the third party medical laboratory market in Saudi Arabia.

In October, BGI Saudi Source Health Care Services Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BGI Saudi Arabia, formally signed a memorandum of cooperation with Saudi Arabia's Al-DawaaMedical Services Company (DMSCO), and the two sides reached a consensus on cooperation to jointly help the transformation of Saudi Arabia's health care industry. The signing of the cooperation agreement means that the two sides will combine the product advantages of BGI and the regional resource advantages of DMSCO to further promote Saudi health service business and create new opportunities for further development of Saudi medical testing services.

In the future, BGI will continue to exert its advantages in large-scale population detection of reproductive health, infectious diseases and tumors, and strive to become the "standard" in the transformation and upgrading of Saudi Arabia's medical and health system, as well as an important "new public health infrastructure" to improve people's livelihood and health, promote life science research and develop the life and health industry.

12月1日，华大基因与沙特合作的案例入选首份《中资企业在沙特阿拉伯履行社会责任报告》（以下简称《报告》），该《报告》是中资企业在沙特集体发布的首份社会责任报告。

沙特政府代表、中沙两国企业和金融机构代表、可持续发展领域专家和中央电视台、新华社、人民日报、沙特通讯社、《阿拉伯新闻报》等中沙媒体共150多人出席发布会。《报告》以“携手共建价值共享”为主题，展示了在沙中资企业近年来履行经济、环境和社会责任的重点项目和典型案例。

中国驻沙特大使陈伟庆致辞表示，在沙中资企业积极承担社会责任，为当地经济社会发展做出积极贡献，为“一带一路”建设添砖加瓦，为中沙经贸合作注入动力，是中国国家形象的一张特殊名片。中国企业、中国产品在沙特的口碑和声誉不断提升。

陈伟庆介绍道，《报告》全面梳理并介绍了中资企业在沙特服务当地社会、安全生产、绿色低碳发展、促进本地就业等方面的积极实践。《报告》的发布，是在沙中资企业加强同当地社会交流沟通和自身品牌形象建设的一次有益尝试，为今后开展相关工作打下了良好的基础。

7月，华大基因沙特全资子公司华大基因沙特源泉健康医疗服务公司与沙特Faisaliah集团全资子公司Tibbiyah Holding线上举行了合资公司的签订仪式，宣布成立名为Genalive Medical Co.（原名：Saudi Advanced Medical Lab Limited）的合资公司，助力沙特第三方医学检验市场发展。
