On October 17, the 7th National Poverty Alleviation Day and the 28th International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the Party Committee of GEM Group, together with the delegation of Jingmen Federation of Industry and Commerce, went to Xinhekou Village, Yongzhen Town, Jingshan City, to carry out the theme party day activities. "Those who fall into reality think of their trees and those who drink their water cherish their sources", GEM actively fulfills its social responsibility while developing its enterprises, and takes the green industry as its grasp to create a new model of precise poverty alleviation. By the end of 2019, more than 660 million yuan has been invested, nearly 1000 people have been employed, and precise poverty alleviation and common prosperity have been achieved.

By investing in poverty-stricken counties and regions such as Lankao in Henan, Xinhua in Hunan and Yanling in Hunan, GEM can help and promote regional economic development with green industries and solve the employment of local people. It will continue to help poor villages such as Jinniu Village in Gongan County of Jingzhou, Gaocheng Village in Chongyang County of Xianning and Dachai Lake in Jingmen, and invest more than 50 million yuan to focus on the construction of weak cultural facilities, roads and water conservancy facilities that affect villagers'lives and incomes, and speed up the process of helping villages get rid of poverty and become rich by building cultural squares, roads and irrigation channels.

Benevolence and poverty alleviation have always been the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation. In the future, GEM will continue to carry out the instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on poverty alleviation, fully participate in the precise poverty alleviation work, dare to take the initiative, and work together with all sectors of society to contribute to winning the battle against poverty!

2020年是决胜全面建成小康社会、决战脱贫攻坚之年。10月17日，正值第七个全国“扶贫日”，也是第28个国际消除贫困日，格林美集团党委联合荆门市工商联一行，奔赴荆门市工商联对口帮扶村、省级深度贫困村——京山市永漋镇新河口村开展主题党日活动。慰问一批贫困户、购买一批扶贫产品、解决一批实际困难，格林美现场资助共计价值约5万元的慰问金和慰问物资，用实际行动助力脱贫攻坚。

17日上午10点，在主题党日学习活动中，与会党员现场重温入党誓词，并组织学习了全国、全省、全市抗击新冠肺炎疫情表彰大会会议精神、市扶贫攻坚领导小组办公室关于印发《荆门市2020年消费扶贫月活动暨“三专一平台”建设实施方案》的通知等文件。

当地村民对大家的到来表示非常开心，纷纷细说着新河口村最近的变化，对于格林美等社会各界的帮扶深受感动。新河口村党支部书记李仕春介绍说：“在社会各界的关怀和帮助下，新河口村的基础设施、公共服务、扶贫产业、人均收入发生了翻天覆地的变化。”

“落其实者思其树，饮其水者怀其源”，在企业发展的同时格林美积极履行社会责任，以绿色产业为抓手，打造精准扶贫新模式。截至2019年底，已累计投资金额超6.6亿元，带动就业近千人，奏响了精准扶贫、共同富裕的凯歌。

通过投资河南兰考、湖南新化、湖南炎陵等贫困县和地区，以绿色产业帮扶和带动地区经济发展，解决当地民众就业；持续帮扶荆州公安县金牛村、咸宁崇阳县高枧村、荆门大柴湖等贫困村，投入超5000万元聚焦解决帮扶村薄弱的文化设施、道路与水利设施等影响村民生活与收益的设施建设，通过修建文化广场、道路、灌溉渠道等方式，加快帮扶村脱贫致富进程。
