Recently, the Ministry of Education and eight departments of the central government jointly announced the first batch of state-level "Great Ideological and Political Course" practice teaching bases. Only 16 units in Hubei Province were listed, and GEM (Wuhan) Urban Mine Industrial Park was successfully selected as the only Hubei unit among the 15 "Beautiful China Thematic Practice Teaching Bases" jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

Over the years, GEM has been actively promoting the idea of ecological civilization, inheriting the recycling culture, building the urban mine museum and the waste art theme park, and constantly fulfilling the earnest advice of the General Secretary when he inspected the company's site in 2013. In GEM's eyes, all "garbage" is a treasure. It is both science and art to turn garbage into resources and decay into magic.

Up to now, GEM has established the first batch of circular economy museums with the theme of "urban mines" in nine parks, including Jingmen in Hubei, Wuhan, Taixing in Jiangsu, Tianjin, Shenzhen in Guangdong, Fengcheng in Jiangxi, Lankao in Henan, Ordos in Inner Mongolia and Changzhi in Shanxi. The museum displays the century-old history of Chinese TV sets and collects cars of various brands at home and abroad, which are records and witnesses of splendid industrial civilization and enable us to experience the charm of industry through time and space. In addition, GEM uses scrap cars and electronic waste as raw materials to produce a variety of waste works of art through artistic design.

GEM Wuhan Park has taken the lead in building a waste art theme park. There are 10 stations in the park, spanning four hundred years from industrial revolution to ecological civilization, industrial economy to circular economy, fossil fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles, one-way carbon emission to carbon neutrality, demonstrating industrial civilization, green development and low-carbon future. All the works of art in the park are made of scrap iron and steel, waste gears, waste tires and other waste parts, which have reached more than 180 tons, equivalent to 140 tons of carbon dioxide.

Whether it is the urban mine museum or the waste art theme park, it is the result and product of GEM's 20 years of opening the factory, and it is a necessary route for the public to visit GEM Park to appreciate the circular culture. Since GEM opened its factory, people from all walks of life around the world have flocked to discuss the cycle, conspiring with low carbon and helping "double carbon". From 2021 to the first half of 2022, despite the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the cumulative number of visits received through GEM's official website "cloud" museum and offline parks is still as high as 200,000, and GEM has become an internationally renowned "influencer" enterprise.

近日，教育部会同中央八部门联合公布首批国家级“大思政课”实践教学基地，湖北省仅16家单位上榜，格林美（武汉）城市矿山产业园成功入选并作为教育部和生态环境部联合设立的全国15家“美丽中国专题实践教学基地”中的唯一一家湖北单位。

多年来，格林美一直积极弘扬生态文明思想，传承循环文化，建设城市矿山博物馆和废物艺术主题公园，不断践行总书记2013年视察公司现场时的殷殷嘱托，在格林美人的眼中所有的“垃圾”都是宝贝，把垃圾资源化，化腐朽为神奇，既是科学也是艺术。

截至目前，格林美已在湖北荆门、武汉、江苏泰兴、天津、广东深圳、江西丰城、河南兰考、内蒙古鄂尔多斯、山西长治等9个园区创建了第一批以“城市矿山”为主题的循环经济博物馆。博物馆里集中展示了中国电视机的百年历史，珍藏有国内外各种品牌的汽车，这些都是灿烂的工业文明的记录和见证，能让我们穿越时空去感受工业的魅力。另外，格林美以报废汽车、电子废物作为原料，通过艺术化设计，制造了各式各样的废物艺术品。

格林美武汉园区率先打造了废物艺术主题公园，公园里共设有10个站点，从工业革命到生态文明、工业经济到循环经济、化石能源燃油车到新能源汽车、单向排碳到碳中和，跨越四个100年，展示了工业文明、绿色发展与低碳未来。公园所有的艺术作品都采用废钢铁、废齿轮、废轮胎等废旧零部件制造，现已达到180余吨，相当于减排140吨二氧化碳当量。

无论是城市矿山博物馆，还是废物艺术主题公园，都是格林美开门办厂20年的成果和产物，是社会公众参观格林美园区领略循环文化的必经线路。格林美开门办厂以来，全球各界人士纷至沓来，论道循环，共谋低碳，助力“双碳”。2021年至2022年上半年，虽然受到新冠疫情影响，但通过格林美官网“云”博物馆和线下园区参观接待的累计访问量仍高达20万人次，格林美已然成为了国际知名的“网红”企业。
