Recently, Shanghai Economic and Information Commission and Shanghai Development and Reform Commission announced the list of green manufacturing demonstration in Shanghai in 2022. Nippon Industrial Paint (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was recognized as a green factory (four stars), and Nippon Paint (China) Co., Ltd. was recognized as a green supply chain management enterprise (four stars) [1]. In order to implement the "14th Five-Year Plan for Green Industrial Development", the evaluation of the green manufacturing demonstration list was organized by the Shanghai Economic and Information Commission, aiming at accelerating the construction of green manufacturing system, creating advanced models of green manufacturing, and forming a demonstration leading role for the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of industry.

Green manufacturing is the only way to achieve industrial transformation and upgrading, and factories are the main body of green manufacturing. In strict compliance with the national "green factory" standard, Nippon fully takes into account the environment in the construction of factories, and strives to build factories with intensive land use, harmless raw materials, clean production, waste recycling and low-carbon energy, so as to contribute to the green transformation of the industry. It is worth mentioning that by the end of 2021, five factories in Nippon have been recognized as "green factories", and many companies have been recognized as "green factories" at the provincial and municipal levels, which are in the forefront of the industry.

为了贯彻落实《“十四五”工业绿色发展规划》，此次绿色制造示范名单评审由上海市经济和信息化委员会组织开展，旨在为加快推动绿色制造体系建设，打造绿色制造先进典型，为工业绿色低碳高质量发展形成示范引领作用。
