Recently, the "Belt and Road" Economic and Environmental Cooperation Forum hosted by the All-China Environmental Protection Federation was held in Beijing. Zhao Yingmin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Tu Ruihe, Representative of the United Nations Environment Programme in China, and other leaders, experts and entrepreneurs from relevant government departments, as well as more than 200 representatives of embassies and international organizations from more than 20 countries along "The Belt and Road" attended the forum. At the same time, the forum released 30 green supply chain cases of "The Belt and Road", and the case of Goldwind technology "building a green ecological supply chain and going to a better future of zero carbon" was successfully selected.
The purpose of the 2022 "Belt and Road" Green Supply Chain Case Selection is to show the practical experience of China's green supply chain to the countries along the "Belt and Road", promote international cooperation among domestic green supply chain enterprises, build a mutually beneficial and win-win green supply chain cooperation system, and work together to promote world economic growth. The selection of this case reflects the industry's recognition of Goldwind's green supply chain construction.
In recent years, actively responding to climate change has become the consensus of all countries and enterprises in the world, and has also become the core issue for enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities and promote sustainable development, and the development of renewable energy has also attracted much attention. Goldwind Science and Technology has always shouldered the responsibilities and missions entrusted by the industry, not only integrating the concept of sustainable development into daily operation and management, but also giving full play to the role of new energy industry in optimizing energy structure and ecological civilization construction, and joining hands with all parties to contribute to the realization of the "30.60" double carbon target and the sustainable development goal of the United Nations.
Since 2017, Goldwind has been actively promoting green design, green procurement, green production and green delivery in the industry, building a green supply chain for the whole process, chain and link of wind power, and promoting the green and sustainable development of the wind energy industry. In April 2021, Goldwind participated in the compilation of the Green Supply Chain Management Evaluation Standard for Wind Power Equipment Manufacturing Industry, which was issued by the National Energy Administration, filling the gap in the field of green supply chain standards for wind power industry. In 2022, Goldwind Technology has completed the green degree assessment covering 67.3% of the core parts suppliers, with 49% of the suppliers having a green degree of three or above, 55.45% of the suppliers using green electricity, and 45.89% of Goldwind products using green electricity.
Supported by the construction of green supply chain, Goldwind Technology continues to promote stable and far-reaching international business, rooted in the global market with comprehensive and in-depth international capabilities, and now its business has spread to six continents and 38 countries around the world. Goldwind Technology pays attention to the environmental impact of wind turbines in the whole life cycle, and starts the life cycle impact assessment (LCA) of GW155-4.5MW and GW136-4.2MW units in 2020, according to ISO 14040 and ISO 14044. To analyze and study the resources, energy and final waste used by wind turbines in the whole process of "obtaining raw materials for wind turbine products, manufacturing, operation and maintenance, decommissioning of wind turbines, and transmission and distribution" and their impact on the environment, the first environmental product declaration (EPD) for wind turbines in China was issued to integrate green sustainable development into the process of internationalization.
Facing the goal of "double carbon", Goldwind Science and Technology has made a solemn commitment: by 2025, the proportion of green electricity used by major suppliers to produce Goldwind products will reach 100%. Goldwind will also continue to carry out green supply chain projects, join hands with global partners, and strive to create a low-carbon win-win, green and sustainable future.
