Therefore, battery life, as one of the bottlenecks in the service life of mobile phones, is not only the focus of consumers' choice of products, but also the urgent technical difficulty to be solved by major mobile phone manufacturers.
In this long cycle life test, TUV Rheinland adopts more stringent current conditions to test and verify the Oppo Reno 8 Pro lithium-ion battery system equipped with battery health engine for several months. The battery health engine performance, battery capacity performance after multiple charges and discharges, and the loss of battery capacity were comprehensively evaluated.
The results show that after 1600 consecutive complete charge-discharge cycles (one charge-discharge cycle is to fully charge the battery to 100%, and then discharge the battery to 0%), the capacity retention rate of the lithium battery system can still reach more than 80% of the rated capacity and initial capacity. Far exceeds the requirement that the retention rate reaches more than 60% of the rated capacity after 300 charge-discharge cycles specified in the international standard IEC 61960 3:2017. The test data shows that 1600 charge-discharge cycles are equivalent to more than 4 years of use, which is simulated by the use of a complete charge and discharge of the mobile phone once a day.

在本次电池长循环寿命测试过程中,TÜV莱茵采用了更严格的电流条件,对Oppo Reno 8 Pro搭载电池健康引擎的锂电池系统进行了历时数月的测试验证,为其电池健康引擎性能、多次充放电后电池容量的表现及其对电池容量造成的损耗进行了全面评估。
结果显示,该锂电池系统经过连续1600次的完整充放电循环后(一次充放电循环为完整将电池充满电至100%电量,再将电池电量放电至0%),容量保持率仍能达到额定容量及初始容量的80%以上,远超过国际标准IEC 61960-3: 2017中规定的“300次充放电循环后,保持率达到额定容量60%以上”的要求。测试数据显示按手机每天进行一次完整充电和放电的使用情况来模拟计算,1600次充放电循环相当于超过4年的使用。
