On January 16, the award ceremony of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO Global Call 2022) has successfully concluded in Shanghai. Sinohytec won the nomination prize of Global Call in the "Green Growth" track for its 240kW hydrogen fuel cell engine project. The global program solicitation received 452 programs from 45 countries and regions on five continents, and finally 30 projects were nominated.
As a state-level high-tech enterprise, Sinohytec focuses on the research and development of fuel cell power system and technological breakthroughs. The award-winning project is the first vehicle fuel cell system with a rated power of 240kW in China. The system adopts a number of independent integration technologies to achieve efficient collaborative control of core elements such as hydrogen, air, water, heat and electricity in the fuel cell system. It has the characteristics of high power, high response, high integration and high economy. With its advent, the application of fuel cell technology has been extended to long-distance and heavy-duty fields, and the full coverage of fuel cell technology to different road application scenarios has been realized.
So how did the 240 kW fuel cell engine project stand out from 452 schemes and win the nomination of the "Green Growth" track?
In short, it can effectively help the transportation industry save energy and reduce carbon. To be exact, the 240 kW fuel cell engine provides an effective carbon reduction solution for heavy trucks, which are the major carbon emitters in the transportation industry.
The transportation sector accounts for about 9% of global carbon dioxide emissions, and about 60% of the industry's carbon dioxide emissions come from about 63 million medium and heavy trucks. According to the calculation of Guangfa Securities, although the number of heavy trucks in China only accounts for about 3% of the total number of vehicles in China, its carbon dioxide emissions account for 47% of the total vehicle emissions. The carbon emissions of a 49-ton diesel heavy truck are about equal to the emissions of 40 cars.
Therefore, the promotion of clean energy heavy truck is the key to energy saving and carbon reduction in the transportation industry. Among them, hydrogen fuel heavy truck is favored by the market because of its advantages of long range, good low temperature adaptability, zero carbon emissions and wide application scenarios. However, the power demand of hydrogen heavy truck is more than 200 kW, which has been a blank in the industry. In order to solve this problem, the R & D team of Sinohytec has spent three years since 2019 to overcome the problems of supporting components such as stack, air compressor and hydrogen circulating pump, and released 240kW fuel cell system at the end of 2021. At present, the series of products have been formally loaded. Sinohytec subsequently developed TMS 2.0, a high-power fuel cell thermal management system for heavy trucks, and disclosed more than 100 related technology patents to the industry to promote the batch application of high-power fuel cell engines in the field of heavy trucks, thus helping the transportation industry to save energy and reduce carbon.
The Global Program of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization highly affirms Sinohytec's active promotion of green and low-carbon transformation of the transportation industry. 那么,240kW燃料电池发动机项目,是如何从452个方案中脱颖而出,获得“绿色增长”赛道提名的呢?
简而言之,它可以有效帮助交通运输行业节能减碳。确切地说,240kW燃料电池发动机为交通运输行业碳排放大户——重型卡车提供了有效的减碳方案。
交通运输行业的二氧化碳排放,大约占全球碳排放总量的9%,而该行业约60%的二氧化碳排放来自于约6300万辆中型和重型卡车。根据广发证券测算,我国重卡保有量虽仅占国内全部汽车保有量的3%左右,但其二氧化碳排放量占全部汽车排放量的47%。一辆49吨柴油重卡的碳排放量约等于40辆小轿车的排放量。
因此, 推广清洁能源重卡是交通运输行业节能减碳的关键。而在这其中,氢燃料重卡因其续航里程长、低温适应性好、零碳排放、应用场景广泛的优势,而备受市场青睐。但氢能重卡的功率需求在200kW以上,一直是行业空白。为解决这一难题,亿华通研发团队从2019年开始,耗时三年时间,攻克了电堆、空压机、氢气循环泵等零部件配套难题,于2021年年底发布240kW燃料电池系统,目前系列产品已正式装车。亿华通后续又开发了重卡专用大功率燃料电池热管理系统TMS 2.0,并将100多项相关技术专利公开给行业,以推动大功率燃料电池发动机在重卡领域批量应用,从而助力交通运输行业节能减碳。
