Tianqi Lithium formally joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). President Xia Juncheng promised that Tianqi Lithium would support the ten principles of the Global Compact on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption, and was committed to promoting the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The United Nations Global Compact Organization (UNGC) was founded in 2000 by the then Secretary-General Kofi Annan at the United Nations Headquarters. The current Secretary-General Antonio Guterres appointed Sanda Ojabo as the Director-General of UNGC in 2020. It is the world's largest international organization to promote sustainable development of enterprises. At present, it has more than 20,000 enterprises and other stakeholder members from more than 170 countries, and has established national contact networks in about 70 countries to continuously help enterprises integrate the ten principles of the Global Compact into their strategies and operations, and jointly promote the realization of broader United Nations goals (SDGs, etc.) Through cooperation and partnership.
