On June 1, 2022, on the occasion of the 49th World Environment Day, 26 guests from 17 units across the country gathered online and offline to "Building a Carbon Neutral Community from the Perspective of Cultural Ecology" The seminar aims to discuss various elements of "carbon-neutral community building" from the perspective of "humanistic ecology", which also echoes the theme of China's Environment Day of "Building a Clean and Beautiful World Together". The seminar was jointly held by the Institute for Advanced Study of Humanities and Social Sciences of Beijing Normal University and the Meisha Sub-district Office of Yantian District, and was supported by the Vanke Foundation.

Vice President Li Jiayong from the Institute for Advanced Study in Humanities and Social Sciences of Beijing Normal University delivered speeches on behalf of the organizer and Professor Zhang Mingyuan on behalf of the research partners, and introduced the current situation and prospects of the academic platform of the college to help the construction of carbon neutrality in the Bay Area. Vanke Wang Shi, chairman of the public welfare foundation, also sent his blessings through a video, emphasizing that while continuously improving the development and breakthrough of "hardware" and "technology", we must pay attention to the cultivation and support of "software" and "humanity" in carbon neutral construction; Deputy Director Wen Zhong of Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment delivered a speech at the meeting, and introduced that since Shenzhen issued the "Implementation Plan for Pilot Construction of Near-Zero Carbon Emission Pilot Areas" in 2021, it has actively promoted 6 types of near-zero emission pilots, and hoped to be selected as a large-scale community pilot. The Meisha near-zero carbon emission community not only achieved excellent results, but also carefully summarized and shared its work experience and cases with more institutions and colleagues across the country who agreed to explore the road to carbon neutrality in the community.

The seminar was delivered by Professor Gao Bingzhong, Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Institute for Advanced Study of Humanities and Social Sciences of Beijing Normal University. Professor Gao shared the anthropological fieldwork analysis and 5 points of thinking that he led his team to carry out in Meisha Street, Yantian District over the past year, and proposed the "dual ecology" concept of understanding the new urban ecology - natural ecology & human ecology. Based on this theoretical analysis, it is believed that the integrity, inclusiveness and productivity of the dual ecology possessed by Meisha are of great value for the subsequent promotion of the construction of carbon-neutral communities. The research was carried out by Vanke Public Welfare Foundation and Beijing Normal University Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center, hoping to lay a community and cultural foundation for the construction of a carbon-neutral community in Meisha through solid and detailed professional research.

2022年6月1日，在即将迎来第49次世界环境日之际，来自全国各地17家单位26位嘉宾分别以线上结合线下方式相聚“文化生态视角下的碳中和社区建设”研讨会，旨在从“人文生态视角下”探讨“碳中和社区建设”诸项要素，也借此呼应中国“共建清洁美丽世界”的环境日主题。本次研讨会由北京师范大学人文和社会科学高等研究院、盐田区梅沙街道办联合举行，万科公益基金会支持。

来自北京师范大学人文和社会科学高等研究院的李家永副院长代表主办方、张明远教授代表研究合作方先后致辞，介绍了学院平台上以学术助力湾区碳中和建设的现状及展望，万科公益基金会理事长王石也通过视频发来祝福，强调在不断提高“硬件”、“技术”开发与突破的同时，在碳中和建设中要重视“软件”、“人文”的培育和支持;深圳市生态环境局文忠副局长到会致辞，介绍了自深圳市2021年发布《近零碳排放试点区试点建设实施方案》后，积极推进6大类型近零排放试点，希望入选社区试点的大梅沙近零碳排放社区不仅取得优秀成果，也把工作经验和案例认真总结、分享给全国更多同意在探索社区碳中和道路的机构和同仁。

研讨会由北京师范大学人文和社会科学高等研究院学术委员会主任委员高丙中教授做主旨发言。高教授分享了过去一年多以来带领团队在盐田区梅沙街道内开展的人类学田野调查分析和5点思考，提出了认识新城市生态——自然生态&人文生态的“双生态”理念，基于此学理辨析，认为梅沙所拥有的双生态具有的整体性、包容性和生产性，对于后续推进碳中和社区建设具有重要价值。该项研究由万科公益基金会与北师大非物质文化遗产研究中心合作开展，希望通过扎实翔实的专业调研，为梅沙碳中和社区建设奠定社区与文化基础。
