Wanke property steward Lu Meina had just stepped into the warm room to shake off the snow when a series of phone calls shattered the tranquility. It was a homeowner's voice: "My neighbor has collapsed and can't be awakened!" Rushing to the scene, Lu Meina found an elderly person unconscious. After a quick check, Lu Meina immediately started cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the elderly person, racing against death. Ten minutes later, the ambulance arrived in the community, and the elderly person was saved.

Fast forward to summer, with waves soaking the fine sand at the beach of Wanke's Seventeen Miles in Shenzhen. Safety officer Deng Zhonghe had just rescued a drowning swimmer, who had turned blue and stopped breathing. The on-site manager, Lei Jianping, ran to get the AED defibrillator from the project setup and, after multiple rounds of CPR, the swimmer's chest began to rise and fall.

As the year drew to a close, a video of an incident where "Earphone Guy" saved someone was circulating on TikTok.Onewo's site manager, Sun Qimeng, who had returned to his hometown for vacation, only found out later that he had become famous. That morning, while he was dozing off during a layover at the capital airport, he was awakened by cries for help, and he immediately sprang into action. After two rounds of CPR, the passenger regained consciousness, and medical personnel rushed to the scene. Sun Qimeng quietly left, leaving behind a video of the "Earphone Guy" saving a life.

Life is precious and, at times, fragile. Sometimes, it feels helpless, and at other times, it rekindles hope.

In 2022-2023,Onewo completed CPR rescue training and certification for nearly 40,000 grassroots employees and collaborated with multiple parties to install AED devices in projects. This project was named "G4," signifying the "golden 4 minutes" for the best rescue. To date, 19 lives have been successfully saved. Not only have 19 lives been rekindled, but more AED devices have been installed in different urban spaces for emergency needs. Additionally, 40,000 volunteers now possess the willingness and ability to handle emergencies. They are the beacons of hope in the city.

I asked Lu Meina, "Why do homeowners turn to you in such critical situations?" She said, "As a steward, I have a good relationship with the homeowners in daily life. They come to me for anything. Some homeowners even bring me pastries and fruits when they move out. This trust is built in the daily interactions, and it's crucial that I received CPR rescue training to effectively help others. This goes beyond the scope of the property contract. The goodwill between people is even more precious in this age of AI advancement."

The beach at Seventeen Miles in Shenzhen is a unique planning area, connected to the property project without boundaries and outside the property contract in terms of ownership. The coastal swimming safety management is a gray area. Despite this, the property service center has stationed lifeguards at the beach. It's the seamless cooperation between Deng Zhonghe and Lei Jianping in rescue efforts that has created a lifeline for homeowners. The project may be small, but it had its share of events in 2023. One homeowner abandoned the energy-saving renovation of the facade due to opposition from neighbors, and another homeowner took the property to court over disagreements about tree obstruction (pending judgment). Neighborhood matters often push legal progress through friction. However, in emergency rescues involving lives, there's no time to pause, and every effort is made.

In 2006, the Nanjing Peng Yu case, where a rescuer was sued, significantly affected the psychological state of those who perform good deeds. I asked Sun Qimeng, who saved someone at the airport, about his thoughts. He said, "Everyone was watching. I had received professional training from the company. Saving lives is important, and I didn't think about anything else. Looking back, it was quite scary. My relatives were worried." The G4 initiative not only empowers employees with the skills of a hero but also instills the courage to step forward. As a leader,Onewo will firmly and at all costs protect employees who bravely perform good deeds.

In the dim capital market of 2023, I hope ESG will become the ray of light piercing through the haze. The "Yi Chuan" says "A family that accumulates good deeds will surely have blessings in abundance." ESG is the "goodness" of a company.Onewo is still working hard to address topics such as caring for elderly people living alone, building energy conservation and carbon emissions, the employment capabilities of grassroots employees, and the governance of old communities. Having gone through some anxious years, the most eagerly anticipated thing is to see hope for the next decade, two decades, and three decades. I believe that the goodwill in our hearts is what helps us transcend prejudices, industry cycles, and vast time and space to pursue the beautiful quality of hope.

This ideal may be too emotional, but the 19 rescues that have truly taken place and are vividly before us are like stars counted in the long night, which will be strung together into a dawn at daybreak. I think there is nothing more important than life, and nothing more suitable as a gift for the new year than new life.

又入岁末，抖音上在传播一起“耳机哥”救人事件，已回到老家休假的万物梁行案场主管孙起孟才知道自己火了。那天早上，他在首都机场转机停留，打盹中被呼救声唤醒了他的神经，旅客们围作一团。孙起孟挤开人群，俯下身子，对昏迷者呼唤无应，即刻实施心肺复苏，“01、02、03……29、30，提颈按鼻打开气道，吹气”。两轮后旅客恢复意识，医护人员匆匆赶到，起孟悄然离开，只被围观者留下“耳机哥”的救人视频。

生命如此珍贵，有时又如此脆弱，生命有时无助，有时又重燃曙光。

我问吕美娜，业主遇到这样危急的事为何会找你？她说，作为管家平时与业主们相处很好，大家有什么事都找她，有的业主搬走了还会带些糕点水果送给她。这是在日常生活点滴中建立的信任基础，更重要是自己接受了CPR救援训练，才可能出手有效相救。这已经超出了物业合同本身的内容，人与人之间的善缘，越是在AI高歌年代，越是人类最弥足珍贵的曙光。

深圳十七英里项目海滩是历史上比较特殊的规划，既与物业项目无边界连接，又于权属上在物业合同之外，这里的海岸游泳安全管理是个灰色地带。即便如此，物业服务中心依然在海边配置了救生员岗位，正是邓忠合与雷建平在施救上的无缝配合，才为业主构筑起了一条生命保障线。那个项目不大，2023年却事情不少。一位业主的房子做节能改造外立面，最终遭邻居反对而放弃，一位业主因为乔木遮挡与邻居意见不一，最终将物业告上法庭（待裁决），邻里的事总是在摩擦中推动法治的进步，而在涉及人命的突发施救，一刻都不能停歇，尽己所能。

2006年，南京彭宇案，施救者被告上法庭严重影响了社会救援善举者的心理。我问在机场救人的孙起孟是怎么想的，他说“大家都在围观，我接受过公司专业培训，救人重要，没想其他”“事后想想也挺后怕，亲戚们都怕出事”。G4行动不仅赋予了员工们行侠仗义的好武功，更赋予了人们挺身而出的勇气。在我接受CPR认证培训时，老师专门强调，《民法典》第一百八十四条规定：“因自愿实施紧急救助行为造成受助人损害的,救助人不承担民事责任。”而我作为企业领导者，万物云也将坚定地、不惜一切代价地保护勇敢行善的员工。

资本市场暗淡的2023，希望ESG成为穿过雾霾的那一束光，《易传》曰“积善之家，必有余庆”，ESG就是企业之“善”，万物云还在努力解决独居老人关怀、建筑节能与碳排放、基层员工就业能力、老旧社区治理等话题。度过了有些令人焦虑的今年、去年、前年，最让人迫切期待的，是看到下一个十年、二十年、三十年的希望。我想心中的善念，才是帮助我们穿越成见芥蒂、穿越行业周期、穿越浩瀚时空，去追寻希望的美好品质。

这种理想或许过于感性，但已经发生的，真真切切摆在我们面前的十九次救援，正如漫漫长夜中数过的星星，将在破晓时分连缀成一片曙光。我想，没有什么比生命更重要，也没有什么比新生更适合作为新年的献礼了。
