On the morning of April 21, local time, the "completion ceremony of Italy's Beleolico 30MW offshore wind power project" was successfully held in the port of Taranto, Puglia, southern Italy. Giancarlo Giorgetti, Minister of Economic Development of Italy, Li Junhua, Ambassador of China to Italy were present to congratulate. Wang Lihe, Vice President of Mingyang Intelligent Energy Group (" Mingyang Intelligent "), Dr. Chen Wei, General Manager of European Business and Engineering Center and all members of the delivery team were invited to the event.

"This is a proud moment because this is the first offshore wind farm in Italy, opening the way to a great plan to produce renewable and environmentally friendly energy," Giancarlo Giorghetti said at the ceremony, highlighting the huge development opportunities that offshore wind power offers Italy.

Li Junhua said at the ceremony that the completion of the project will mark the first milestone in the development of green energy and ecological transformation between China and Italy. It also indicates that the two sides share the important historical responsibility of tackling climate change and benefiting future generations. We should increase communication and collaboration in expanding green energy development, turn potential into reality, and work together to achieve sustainable development.

The total installed capacity of Beleolico offshore wind power project is 30MW, using 10 offshore wind power units supplied by Mingyang Intelligent. It is the first commercial offshore wind farm to be built and operational in Italy and the entire Mediterranean region. When connected to the grid, it is expected to meet the electricity needs of nearly 20,000 homes in Italy each year, saving about 730,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions over its 25-year life.

Beleolico offshore wind power project is the first show of Chinese complete machine manufacturer's offshore wind turbine in the European market, and it is also the first time that Mingyang wind turbine has obtained non-recourse project financing from Natixis Bank. Taranto port is a low wind speed area, similar to Guangdong. The low wind speed solution of Mingyang Intelligent, combining the advantages of semi-direct drive and large blade technology, has greatly improved the project revenue and achieved better LCoE performance. In addition to providing equipment, Mingyang Intelligent will also provide customers with 20 years of project operation and maintenance, with rich experience in offshore operation and maintenance, for the reliable operation and profit of the project escort.

The delivery of the Beleolico offshore wind project was carried out in strict accordance with European standards and European business practices. It is the result of a highly international collaboration, including loans from Italian owner Renexia, Dutch hoisting subcontractor Van Oord, Italian installation subcontractor IVPC, and Natixis Bank, demonstrating Mingyang's ability to work with a wide range of partners. The project was completed and connected to the grid as scheduled under the difficult conditions of the spread of COVID-19 in Europe. It not only demonstrates the capability and image of China's high-end manufacturing industry, but also deepens the exchange of offshore wind power technology and experience between Chinese and European enterprises, and contributes to international cooperation to jointly promote the development of clean energy and tackle global climate change.

当地时间4月21日上午，“意大利Beleolico 30MW海上风电项目竣工典礼”在意大利南部普利亚大区（Puglia）塔兰托港口成功举行。意大利经济发展部部长贾恩卡洛•乔格蒂（Giancarlo Giorgetti），中国驻意大利大使李军华到场祝贺，明阳智慧能源集团股份公司（简称“明阳智能”）副总裁王立和、欧洲商务和工程中心总经理陈玮博士及交付团队全体成员受邀出席活动。

贾恩卡洛•乔格蒂在仪式中强调了海上风电为意大利提供的巨大发展机会，他表示：“这是一个值得骄傲的时刻，因为这是意大利第一个海上风电场，为生产可再生和环保能源的伟大计划开辟了道路”。

李军华仪式上表示，项目的落成将标志着中意双方在绿色能源开发，在生态转型中实现了第一个里程碑。更预示着双方在共同承担着应对气候变化、造福子孙后代的重大历史责任。在拓展绿色能源开发加大沟通、加大协作，把潜力变为现实，携手实现可持续发展。

Beleolico海上风电项目总装机容量30MW，采用明阳智能供应的10台海上风力发电机组。是意大利以及整个地中海地区首座建设并投运的商业化海上风电场，并网后预计每年可以满足当地近两万个家庭的用电需求，在25年的使用寿命中，将减少约730,000吨二氧化碳排放。

Beleolico海上风电项目是中国整机厂家海上风机在欧洲市场的首秀，也是明阳风机首次获得法国外贸银行无追索项目融资。塔兰托港口属低风速区，与我国广东类似。明阳智能的低风速解决方案，综合半直驱与大叶片技术优势，大幅提升了项目收益，实现更优的度电成本（LCoE）表现。除提供设备外，明阳智能还将为客户提供20年的项目运维，凭借丰富的海上运维经验，为项目的可靠运行和收益保驾护航。
