On September 23, Ivy Renewable Resources (Shangrao) Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Ivy Company") was officially launched in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province, as a joint venture between SVOLT 100% controlled Teng Qingqing Renewable Resources (Shangrao) Co., LTD and Guizhou Zhongwei Resources Recycling Industry Development Co., LTD., a subsidiary of Zhongwei New Materials Co., LTD. This marks the official announcement of Honeycomb Energy into the battery recycling field.


Ye Hebin, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Shangrao Economic and Technological Development Zone, Yang Hongxin, Chairman and CEO of SVOLT, Liao Xingxing, Senior Vice President and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Zhongwei Stock and other representatives and leaders of relevant parties attended the launch ceremony.

Ivy Company will adopt the advanced four-level physical crushing treatment method in the recycling industry to harmfully disassemble the scrap cell, pole group and pole piece to black powder, copper powder and aluminum powder. While protecting the environment, the recovery rate of black powder can reach 99%, which maximizes the recovery efficiency and reduces the subsequent hydrometallurgical smelting cost.

As a professional comprehensive service provider of new energy materials for lithium batteries, Zhongwei Shares provide production, operation and technical support for Ivy.  SVOLT, through Ivy Company, disassembled the scrap core into black powder and then imported it into the Honeycomb supplier system for hydrometallurgy, and further manufactured the precursor and cathode materials. The joint venture plans to build a production line for dismantling and recycling electrodes and batteries in two phases.


Yang Hongxin pointed out:

Through Ivy, SVOLT will accelerate the realization of the closed loop of the industry, and reduce the cost of raw material procurement through resource recycling, and improve the market competitiveness of SVOLT batteries. At the same time, the recycling and use of recycled materials can increase the domestic supply source to some extent, which can help guarantee the security of national resources, but also produce greater economic benefits, and effectively reduce the life cycle carbon emissions, which will help China to achieve the "3060" double carbon target.

Liao Xingxing said:

Through the cooperation with Honeycomb Energy, Zhongwei can obtain a considerable amount of battery recycling by virtue of the channel advantages of the partner, and combine with its technical advantages in raw material recycling to achieve a win-win situation and jointly contribute to carbon emission reduction.

In recent years, with the rapid development of new energy vehicles, the installed number of power batteries has also entered a period of explosive growth. In the next few years, the power battery will enter the mass - scale waste period. The three core elements of environmental protection, resources and policies strongly drive the accelerated development of battery recycling, and the outlet of battery recycling is coming. Industry research shows that the scale of recycling electric vehicles and energy storage batteries will grow exponentially in the next decade, reaching 100GWh in 2025 and 800GWh in 2030. Power battery recycling has become an indispensable part of the whole battery industry chain.

Driven by the goal of double carbon, SVOLT has begun to plan the renewable resources industry. By linking the whole industrial chain of upstream and downstream, it will help to improve the recycling efficiency of used power batteries, promote the increasing scale of power battery recycling, and promote the sound development of the recycling industry.

9月23日,由蜂巢能源100%控股的藤青青再生资源(上饶)有限公司和中伟新材料股份有限公司控股子公司贵州中伟资源循环产业发展有限公司合资成立的常青藤再生资源(上饶)有限公司(以下简称“常青藤公司”)在江西上饶正式启动。此举标志着蜂巢能源正式官宣进入电池回收领域。


上饶经济技术开发区党工委书记叶和彬、蜂巢能源董事长兼CEO杨红新和中伟股份高级副总裁兼董事会秘书廖恒星等相关方代表领导出席启动仪式。

常青藤公司将采用回收行业先进的四级物理破碎处理法,将报废电芯、极组、极片进行无害拆解至黑粉、铜粉、铝粉,在做到环保的同时,可实现黑粉回收率达到99%,最大限度的提高回收效率,同时降低后续的湿法冶金冶炼成本。

作为一家专业的锂电池新能源材料综合服务商,中伟股份为常青藤公司提供生产运营和技术支持。蜂巢能源则通过常青藤公司,将报废电芯拆解成黑粉后导入蜂巢供应商体系进行湿法冶金,进一步进行前驱体和正极材料制造。该合资公司计划分两期建设,建成极片和电池拆解回收产线。


杨红新指出:

通过常青藤公司,蜂巢能源将加快实现产业闭环,并通过资源回收利用降低原材料采购成本,提高蜂巢能源电池的市场竞争力。同时,再生材料的回收使用在一定程度上增加国内供给来源,有助于保障国家资源安全,还可产生较大的经济效益,同时有效降低生命周期碳排放,助力中国“3060”双碳目标的实现。

廖恒星表示:

通过与蜂巢能源的合作,中伟股份可以借助合作方的渠道优势获得可观的电池回收数量,而结合自身在原材料回收方面的技术优势,实现双赢,共同助力碳减排。

近年来,随着新能源汽车的快速发展,动力电池装机量也进入爆发增长期。未来几年,我国动力电池将进入规模化报废期。环保、资源以及政策三大核心要素,强力驱动电池回收加速发展,电池回收的风口正在到来。行业研究显示,未来十年电动车及储能电池回收规模将呈指数级增长,2025年将突破100GWh,2030年更是达到800GWh。动力电池回收已经成为电池全产业链布局不可或缺的一环。

在双碳目标的推动下,蜂巢能源已经着手规划再生资源产业,通过联动上下游全产业链,将有助于提升废旧动力电池的回收效率,推动动力电池回收规模日益扩大,促进回收行业良性发展。
